Delaware Department of Health Allows Medical Marijuana Deliveries

Local Marijuana

The Delaware Department of Health worked quickly to put safety protocols in place for medical marijuana home delivery. Columbia Care has already started making home deliveries. Columbia Care and First State Compassion Center both noted that their supplies were stable and that they could sustain the addition of delivery service.

Columbia Care, so far, is the only dispensary offering delivery services, the Cape Gazette said. Home delivery is only permitted now due to the pandemic. Other dispensaries can offer home delivery, but they are not in a place where that is feasible for them.

George DeNardo of Columbia Care said, “We had a successful first week in helping many quarantined and homebound patients in receiving the product that they needed in an efficient manner. We have received dozens of calls from patients, after the announcement, and we are prepared to support the patients of Delaware with this new service.”

It is ideal to contact the dispensary to see when delivery is available as delivery options can vary by having different hours or days.
