Most Marijuana-Related Bills in Delaware Die in House

Marijuana bills in Delaware had a tough time this legislative session as House Bill 110 to legalize recreational marijuana failed.

Delaware medical marijuana patients wanted to grow their own marijuana, but House Bill 243 got stuck in the House committee and did not pass, Delaware Online reported. A bill to add anxiety as a qualifying condition also failed. A bill to allow medical marijuana patients to carry firearms also failed. It at least passed the Senate though.

Senate Substitute 1 for Senate Bill 24 did pass and will expand what patients are permitted to access medical marijuana. This legislation is awaiting signature into law.
