Delaware’s Third Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens

Columbia Care dispensary opened its doors in Smyrna. It’s the first medical marijuana dispensary in the county and third in the entire state. All of the products available at the dispensary come from Columbia Care’s production facility in Milford.

The dispensary will offer both THC and CBD products, Delaware Public Media reports. The company believes that Delaware has one of the best medical marijuana programs in the country. CEO Nicholas Vita says that they’ve been trying to open in Delaware for several years.

Vita said, “It’s a program that has always had its mission focus on the public good. It’s not about just revenue. It’s about really making sure the people who deserve access and deserve treatment are the ones who benefit the most.”

Vita also said, “Anytime we can find a way to increase efficiency and sort of allow somebody to leverage their normal routine and incorporate us, we think that is a winning combination.”
