Cannabis Bureau of Delaware Is Hosting a Public Lobby Day on Jan. 19

Recent polls suggest that 61-percent of Delaware voters support legalizing and taxing recreational marijuana. The Cannabis Bureau of Delaware is holding a Delaware Citizens Cannabis Lobby Day on January 19, and invites the public to contact their congressional representatives and senators to make an appointment if they’d like to attend.

It is recommended that interested parties schedule their appointments before January 19, according to Middletown Transcript. On January 12, an informational session will also be held from 7 – 8 p.m. Residents can listen in by calling 712-770-4010 and using conference code 314 634.

The purpose of the lobby day is to open the floor of discussion on recreational marijuana legalization. The new session is beginning and marijuana is on the agenda for discussion. Getting involved helps local lawmakers understand the public’s general position regarding marijuana legalization.
