Poll Finds Majority of Delaware Supports Marijuana Legalization

A recent poll conducted by the University of Delaware Center for Political Communication shows that a majority of Delawareans support marijuana legalization. Support has remained the same since the last poll on the topic in 2016.

A recreational legalization bill did work through part of the Delaware Legislature in the 2018 session, Delaware State News reports. The bill fell short of votes in the House so did not receive a vote in the Senate.

It is not known whether recreational marijuana legalization will be attempted in the 2019 legislative session for sure, but it is a hot topic and is expected to be part of several discussions.
